You can batter a woman (although you definitely shouldn’t) and you make batter for a cake.

Eminem gets better with age. He’s wiser now and really loves playing around with words and syllables. Also, he can out rap anyone, and that’s a matter of pride for him. If you can beat him on flow, he will beat you on lyrical content. If you find a way to beat him on lyrical content, he will just put equally good content into a fast flow that makes yours seem weak. He’s the guy that when he’s going a track with other artists, makes them all go back a re-write there verses, because when he got on the mic they felt completely unworthy.

This song is on Kamikaze. Kamikaze was his response to the hatred that came after the release of Revival. Revival is actually a very underrated album, but so many just missed the mark when assessing it. From 1999 till about 2004, there was no bigger artist. Encore was released in 2004, and wasn’t as popular because honestly he was in deep drug use and you can hear it throughout. Still some gems on that album, but some fans sort of gave up on him then. It took 5 years and almost dying to release Relapse and Recovery followed in 2010. To me Recovery is sort of the beginning of the newer sounding Eminem. He admits on that album that during “Encore” he was on drugs, during “Relapse” he was flushing them out, and “Recovery” he was finally clean. In between Recovery and Revival he released Marshall Mathers LP2, which harkened back to a bit of his older sound. Possibly, that’s why Revival was not received as well, but he was maturing and his music was showing that. Within months of Revival being released and being ripped apart he put together Kamikaze. It’s angry Em, coming after everyone. He was fed up and it motivated him in crazy ways. He has since released Music To Be Murdered By in 2020, and has a new album due out anytime now.

Good music isn't for everyone.

Jimmy and Dre had him write this song almost forcefully, because the album was too dark and they wanted a single song for the radio. Em had to start from the scratch and it was kind of difficult to put the song together for the last minute, when he thought the Album was done.

Em has double meanings, Triple meanings and quadruple means for his lyrics anymore, he’s basically on his own planet when it comes to his lyrical genius. It’s crazy he did this right after his recovery when he overdosed and was told he wouldn’t have lived with in 2 hours if he hadn’t got medical help. He’s talked about it before, after his overdose he basically had to relearn a lot of things including rap because it messed with his brain. So this if I remember correctly on the timeline of his life was the first song after that happened to him so he had alot of apologizing to get off his chest to family (his daughters) and fans.
